Soth Nita is in 6 grade.
Soth Nita started to study at our school last year she was in extra class because she was really behind she couldn’t read or write.
The other morning she came to the office asking Chenda to pray for her. Chenda ask her what she need to pray for.  Chenda told us Soth Nita response was so heart warming and encouraging that it gave her goose bumps.  Nita said when she was in extra class last year during bible class learning about God or when other students talk about God she hated it. She use to tell her class made that they shouldn’t believe about God it just a lie.  She hated the bible and the people that believe in God.  But this school year (Nov) she moved into 6th grade and became a full time student of the school she got to hear the word of God every morning and Pidou the bible teacher also pray for her God help change her heart to believe in Him.  Nita said she started praying every day since then.  She said she prayed when she is sick, and before tests, and when other people bug her and more.
So she came to the office said that she want Chenda to pray for her because she feels that she was very wrong to God that she was so disrespectful to God. She was in tears while she was telling her testimony. They were praying together for repent for God forgiveness. Nita testimony is very encouraging Chenda to see the pure faith and repent.

Chend relayed this story to Ream and Ream wrote it for me to share, but when I got the photo I to was really happy.  One of my jobs lately is running the snack shop, It’s where I get a lot of face time with the kids.  I make an effort to play with and gain response from the children during recess when they are buying a snack.   It is often just “Ice Breaking” moments, maybe shooting a boy with a rubber band every day or holding their change a little tight for a moment before they take it.  Anything really to garner a smile and be friendly rather than letting them run off.  At times in the past I was feeling “did I come to Cambodia to sell snacks?”  YES, I did for a time, because of how I sell them and the responses we are getting.   It’s not me a lone selling a treat and poking them in the side or bumping them in the hallway, it isn’t much work.  But it seems quite often there is a spiritual aspect involved to go after the ones who respond the least.  My sister would call my actions “pestering”  but all that practice on  my sister 😉 works perfect here with the kids.  There are two girls Soth Nita is most recent where I’ve seen the break through.  Seems one day she was just willing to smile and play finally, now there’s almost no time where she doesn’t smile at us.
I love it because yes I’m just a little part of the transition, but I feel it was important to be friendly and active in engaging the ones who want to be left alone.  When one I’ve been really focused on changes I’m jumping for joy inside, like “Yes we got one”.
I’m so blessed to hear this story and all that is going on in class.
Soth Nita is definitely being called by God we can see it clearly through her testimony, we can now look back and see all the parts that moved and who was involved, it really makes you appreciate the staff as well, they do so much more than poke them in the side.

Anyways I love this one, it was more personal special effort going on and love having a victory.
