June has seen quite a few things take place.

Like completing the 2nd floor to team house.

The 2nd floor is designed for long term teams.
If your looking to volunteer for a long period time we have a nice place for you to stay.
Long term generally this means more than a month.
If you’ve stayed with us before the second floor is pretty much the same as the 1st but with more kitchen and less bathroom.

We have a new wall that gives the team house some privacy from the school, also a Social Affair requirement now.

Today we’ve started the remodel to our old building from orphanage to school.  The second floor boy’s room is first.

We’ve made a final decision to house the girls down stairs 1st floor in our old home and our 3 remaining boys have moved upstairs with us.  Our older boys will stay with us as well to help manage the group.  It might be a little bit of stress but at the same time I think it’s going to be good for all of us.
To cope with extra people in our home we’re adding the an extra temporary bathroom where our balcony was.
3 years from now it will be converted to classrooms.

    Yong, Joe and Rotha

    Tong, Sam, Weed and Sanh

Girls aren’t ready yet so we might post on it next month.

We have a family, and older retired couple who have been with us a couple years now.  They be moving upstairs into the new guest house as well as  a young lady staying with us she will be upstairs next door.

We hosted an eye doctor team from Hong Kong 25 of them.  They saw all of our children at the school and many of the adults from the surrounding churches.   Every one got glasses, or sun glasses or a hat, so there were a lot of smiles to go around.
Very busy week to make all that happen.  Oh they also brought with them Khmer students from Phnom Penh College to help to the translating.  I think there was 25 of them as well.

The King of Cambodia drove past the school the other day, we didn’t know it or we would have been out there waving.  But our girls cleaning the church saw them go by and the king waved at them from the car window.  They were supper excited about that.
There was a temporary Thai Market set up in Takeo, City.  So we drove all the kids out there that night to have a little funs and see some new things.  We bought a lot of dried fruits and the kids ate some snack that came in dry ice which smoked as they ate it.  It was a fun night.

Here is the land next door to the school we are making an offer this week.  For the land and house please keep that in prayer that things would go as the Lord see best for us.  We have to get a loan for it.  We’d like not to but we don’t have the funds to pay cash right now so I think the loan will cost us $500 a month.  Not to difficult for us to manage.

It will provide the school better access and increase snack shop area.  We hope to serve the parents in the mornings as well.  Price negotiations is all that is next.

Lastly we are sending out monthly up date now if you want on a mailing list please email us at or message us on our facebook page.  Please keep in mind much more content goes on Facebook than anywhere else, so follow us and giving us a like makes us more public and opens more doors for us

    Thank you all
