We have a lot going on and I feel it’s been a while since we’ve given an update.
The house is doing well. Kids have been back in school for a while and everything is and has been running smoothly. Which is real nice for us and the staff.
We had Yong change his mind about college and has chosen to come back home and help us in ministry and at school. He’s started teaching bible to the kids at the house and during chapel. This has really been helpful to mom. Yong is also talking over the sports program and work for the school. Which was one of the things on my heart to have happen.
The students have their one day soccer match coming up and Yong’s been working them pretty good for a while. It was cool today to stumble upon his obstacle course he made for them. A really good of initiative so rarely displayed.
(The new snack shop this year is proving extremely helpful financially.)
(The next class and office are going up in front of the blue snack shop. The expanse in the middle will be left open for the year until we build again next year. This will give is a good meeting space for church service for a while. )
The school construction is still under way and should be complete maybe end of February, let’s hope.
They’ve removed a 3rd building from the old campus and are in the process of erecting it at the new campus. For those who aren’t aware. We’ve out grown the old campus we we’ve been renting. As well we’re expecting to lose much of the property to the road widening. So we’ve chose to uproot the temporary buildings and relocate them on a new property. It was fairly cheap to do only $1,500 to remove and rebuild per building. Those 3 buildings held 6 classes in them. As well as moving the old buildings we had new classes build as well. These new units will be filled with our new 4th grade B class and our 5th grade B classes. Were only obligated to open a second 5th grade class due to natural growth but we added the 5th grade B class because the new students on the waiting list was full but we also had a spare teacher available. So that all worked out well.
We are also having a much larger proper office built.
We have that scheduled conference coming up were the Education department ask asked us to share with the rest of the 53 schools in our state on how our school achieved such a high test percentage last year. I’ll try and let you know how that goes later.
(Old campus with 3 r the 4 buildings removed.)
(2 relocated 5th grade classes on the right. )
(Office and 6th grade to be complete this month.)
The extra set of bathrooms should be complete this month as well. (no picture)
Next we have a couple things we are planning on. We are also working out the details of a multi-sports court for the school. This will go where the old pond use to be. This will be a cement court for tennis, basketball, volley ball and everything we can fit on it. It will likely be covered and lit as well. Should provide a great space for the school.
We need to fix the road out front of the school now. The local construction guy really tore it up with his dump truck and it’s been a slippery mess for the past 3 months.
Lastly we’re probably going to start the second floor to the team house. While we have the welders at the school we want to have the roof put on. So we’ll see where we get with all that.
There is something I want to share as a follow up to something I shared earlier this month about our need for personal support.
I share our personal support was coming to an end. However I was told this week that our home church will be supporting us another year, Wonderful new for us. We are still short on our overall budget but the moment of worry has been cared for as we knew it would be. As far as our budget being short and what means, we have a housing allowance approved that isn’t covered. So if you are praying about joining with us in personal support please let us know you wish to help.
Thank you all for your support this past year. The ministries have been able to meet much of the demand because so many have helped us. Our friends in America, Australia, and Japan have all been so helpful, thank you.
As far as prayer request this month.
*We’re praying for the peoples strength to stand strong and remain in their faith.
*We’re praying for our challenged relationships with college kids, we’ve 15 of them in school right now.
*We’re always praying for safety of the children and teachers at school and in their travels.
*We’re always in prayer over finances for growth in ministry
Personally
*We’re praying for our boy having a real difficult time with wanting to learn. Really has mom stressed out.
We’re open to help if there is anyone out there wanting to come teach them for a year or longer.
*We’re praying over our relationship with Christ that we can remain strong over the years to come.
*We’re praying over our own finical needs to be covered.
The ministry could use a PR type person.
We’d love to connect with more teachers.
We could always use help becoming more professional in our office and in our accounting.
Thank you again
