A while back we promoted our need to move campuses from the old church location to the new location here at the house. This was because of the new road coming through..

Dad’s church lost 10 meters and will loose another 5 meters when the bridge comes in a couple more years.  He also lost more than a dozen full grown mango and other fruit trees with the road expanding.

The pad out front in the first picture was the old office.

It was good to pull out a head of this and not get caught off guard.
Thank you for all your help in making all the transition happen.

Some different things going on with regards to church.

Over the years with the ministry we’ve really been working hard to make and strengthen Christians. The past couple years we’ve joined up with Calvary Chapel Bible College Kauai. (A Grateful shout out to pastor Michael).
They first started coming teaching our teachers how to study the bible for themselves. Twice a year the CCBK team would return and we’d advance more. The teachers have gone from listeners to speakers are now sharing in small groups in the mornings. The last trip the team made we felt it was time to start with discipleship training.
The future that is coming will moving towards evangelism.

But for today discipleship is moving.

This school year we accepted a huge amount of students over 150 new kids. It shifted the dynamics of the school from a Christian influence to a secular strength. We also had a few challenges with non Christian teachers really being destructive.

We realized we needed to turn the tide and get more
help from the Christians we have here both teachers and students. It was becoming too much for Ream especially to have all this going on. We ramped up the idea of discipleship plans with more prayer groups and bible studies.

Skyler, a young lady from CCBK who has chosen to stay on with us for almost a year now has been teaching and raising up our kids at the house to become bible future teachers. She’s got Miss Jon and Mr. Yong as her core group of young adults discipling them, as well as few of our younger high school and Junior High kids from the house.

I need to find out for sure but I think we’ve got close to 10 prayer meetings through out the week with teachers and maybe close to 10 disciple groups going among the youth.

Thought we felt things were a bit rough earlier this year there’s more of a peace like the ministry will or is back on track.

I’ve asked to get some photos of all the groups meeting so you can keep them in prayer.

Oh. Little story. We are struggling with hiring anymore non Christians to work at the school as it’s a ministry. We really didn’t like the problems we had this year with some of the staff and their influence over kids.
But there is the perspective that how do people become Christians if you don’t bring them in or hire them.

We hired another shop keeper a couple months back
Mrs. V. She’s been coming to church regularly now.
When we offered all staff to allow their children to attend school for free she was first to bring her children from public school. When we needed another yard laborer she brought her husband almost the next day.
Her son has become a Christian and was baptized last Sunday here at the house. So very cool.

Dad used the pool the first time to do his own baptisms with his church. Often when I feel the pool upkeep is an unwanted burden, it’s use for the Lord and we decide to keep it running.

Some of the other photos Skyler is becoming a regular teacher at most gatherings. It’s strong teachings Dad’s church really needs to hear.

Friday afternoon bible study with leadership at the office.

Out in the sun is Jon with the Sunday youth groups trying to find a spot of shade.

We’d really like to get the courts covered later this year if you want to help let us know.
