We had to go to town the other day and when we got home there was new for us in the school office from our assistant principal at the school. She told us that the school crossing guard blocked the streets so the school could let out at 4 o’clock. The first car in front of them turned out to be the head of the education department here in our province. He called one of the crossing guards over to the vehicle and asked them to go get the principal which would have been myself if I were home. So the assistant came out wondering who was in the car and what someone in traffic would want from us.
Turned out it was just a moment for him to give us some praise. He told our assistant how impressed he was with us and that he would be giving us forms for our students to join the red cross and a form of boy scouts, basically high school clubs that get to help do good deeds when the government ministries come though the area to give out aid. He said he knows we are Christian and he is proud to have our school in his province because we are making him look good.
He said he wants us to do more and wants to try and bring attention to our school.
The cool thing is he recognizes were a Christian school and the positive impact we are having.
Amen!
