We had a lady who’s heart was troubled over her son’s not learning at school.
Her son goes to the public school right now and is on our waiting list to attend A Heart for Wisdom school.  The grade he needs to enter has been too full to accept him and he’s been waiting for a while.  She came to the office to check if there is any movement in the line towards getting her son in.
Chenda our principal was eating her lunch in the office at the time she came by so the lady apologized and was going to leave and  but  Chenda let her know it was okay if she didn’t mind talking while she ate.  The lady began by telling Chenda she doesn’t feel her son is smart and he is failing in the school.  The woman was discouraged.  She said that she is doing every thing she can for her kids but her heart is broken and she doesn’t have much hope for her son’s future; while she speaking she start to tear up.  She continue that her son goes to school every day, he gets up and get ready to go to school but he is just doesn’t learn because he is not smart.
Chenda told her “please don’t feel hopeless and please don’t feel that your son is not smart.  I can see that he smart and responsible he gets up and get ready to go school every day. You just need to continue helping him and try and help him with the school work.  Continue to find out why he is not learning and continue to try to help him. He is still young, it is not too late there still plenty of to time to help”, Chenda was talking to her for while.
Before the lady left she said that she is admires Jesus people (Christians), they are so nice and kind people. They are very good people and talk so nice.  She said that she promise that when her son comes to school she will not stop him for believing in Jesus because people that believing Jesus are so nice people.  She said she was encourage and happy even though she doesn’t know yet when her son will get to come to the school because of the waiting list.

Chenda has been a lovely person, constantly shining for Christ with the people she meets.  I am sure one day the work Chenda does from the office will start to see a different fruit appear; that of the parents getting saved as much as the students do.
