How teams serve:

We host teams for hands-on ministry that strengthens local churches and blesses communities. Expect a mix of village outreaches, classroom ministry / English support, youth & kids programs, and times of worship, prayer, and testimony with local believers.
  • Village outreaches: home visits & prayer, simple hygiene lessons, food distribution as needed, evening worship services with testimonies.

  • Classroom ministry: conversational English support, songs/games, teacher encouragement, simple supplies.

  • Youth/Kids: music, crafts, sports outreach, Bible stories.

  • Church engagement: Sunday worship, mid-week encouragement nights, small-group discipleship, pastoral support.

  • Light projects (as available): painting, basic repairs, media/story gathering, ministry supply prep.

Where you’ll serve

Takeo Province: Most team days are in rural Takeo with occasional days in the Phnom Penh for shopping.
We work alongside local leadership and prioritize long-term, church-centered ministry that continues after your team flies home.

Team House Accommodations

Sample 10-day itinerary with Saturday arrival

Arrive to Phnom Penh, travel to Takeo (40 min drive), orientation, cultural & safety brief, team prayer, teach at church, Sunday School for kids.

Mornings and afternoons, teams split into groups serving in the village and at A Heart for Wisdom (AHFW) School.
Village outreach includes home visits, kids/youth, mixed adult/kids.
Classroom ministry includes teaching classes in English, Bible, Sports, etc. Grades Pre-k – 12th are available.
Bible teaching during the week includes midweek sessions and Sunday service at church, and morning chapel at AHFW.

Teach at The Living God Church – Calvary Chapel Takeo, Sunday school with youth, debrief, depart for Phnom Penh.
Shopping in the city at Russian Market and/or Aeon Mall, rest, go to airport.

There are many ways to explore Cambodia’s culture, history, and geography while you are visiting. We can help plan tours of the capital (Phnom Penh), trips to beautiful beaches, visiting Angkor Wat, cooking class and market tours, and other activities. Let us know if you would like to explore some of these options, they can be integrated into your schedule. These activities would be in addition to the quoted daily rate.

When to Visit

Your team can visit anytime our schedule is open, here are a few general expectations for weather:

  • Nov–Feb: cool/dry (most popular)
  • Jun–Aug: green season with afternoon showers
  • Mar–May: hottest months; plan lighter mid-day schedules
  • Sep–Oct: wettest months; flexible rain plans

Cost & Inclusions

Daily cost per person: $40

Includes: on-site lodging in Takeo with AC, ground transport*, 3 daily meals, filtered water, interpreters, local hosts.

Not included: airfare, lodging off-site, travel insurance, souvenirs, optional free days, off-site meals, ministry supplies, and visa fees.

Visa: Most teams use the Cambodia Tourist e‑Visa (T), single entry, typically $30 for up to 30 days. Apply on the official site.

*Ground transport fees vary depending on the size of the team. You will receive a quote for this cost based on your specific team needs. Typically about $100 one way from Phnom Penh to Takeo will cover a team of up to 25.

Team cost example

A 12 member team visiting for 10 days would be $400 per person, or $4800 for the entire team. Ground transport would be $200 total, covering transport to and from the airport and local transport for village outreach. For a day in Phnom Penh prior to departure, factor about $50-$75 per person for hotel lodging and meals.

Flights: As of Fall 2025, Flights typically range from $800-$1400 depending on the season. This is based on round trip flights from US West Coast (LAX, SEA, SFO, etc.) Other US locations are generally $100-$200 higher. You can use sites like Google Flights to search for flights to our airport, KTI (Techo International Airport, Phnom Penh).

Estimated total cost per person:

  • Flight: $1000
  • Ministry costs: $400 (10 days using sample 10 day itinerary above)
  • Travel days and transport: $100 (share of round-trip ground transport to/from KTI airport, 1 night in Phnom Penh Hotel, meals in city.
  • Tourist visa: $30
  • Total: $1530. This does not include additional cost of souvenirs, activities, ministry supplies, etc.

Visit beautiful beach area of Kampot, 2 hours south of Takeo Province. Dual occupancy at 4-5 star resorts, meals, and transportation included. This is an excellent way to enjoy God’s creation, experience another region of Cambodia, and have specific time for team to debrief prior to departing.

Visit Siem Reap and explore Angkor Wat, the largest religious site on earth. 2 hours south of Takeo Province. Dual occupancy at 4-5 star resorts, meals, and transportation included. This is an excellent way to enjoy God’s creation, experience another region of Cambodia, and have specific time for team to debrief prior to departing.

Explore the ancient temples of Angkor Wat in Siem Reap, located about 4–5 hours north of Takeo Province. Dual occupancy at 4–5 star hotels, meals, guided temple tours, and transportation are included. This unforgettable experience allows your team to enjoy Cambodia’s rich history, reflect on God’s story across cultures, and spend intentional time debriefing before returning home.
