It’s been a month since we’ve given a good update.
Last year we started a fund raiser to begin more construction at the new school property.
Because of so many of you we raised $18,000 USD to do so. THANK YOU ALL for that and thank you LORD.
Much of the construction had begun September-ish. Seems like we’ve been building forever.
Also back to the Oct. post on our facebook page there’s the before plan.

Also if you look back at the last blog post on Jan. 22nd, you will get to see a few of the changes we in the process.
Anyways as for the funds raised we’ve constructed 6 classroom so far. The 7th class opens for use in a week as well as the new admin office.
On these last couple units we poured the full pad for the next 10 classrooms, we’re only planning to build 4 for the time being. We’d place them to the far right of the pad and leave the rest up it open for kids to play on until we could afford to build more units this year. As finances became more clear we decided roof the rest of the pad and made the decision to build units on the left and right of the pad.
Maybe a bit hard to visualize so I made my first video to better understand.
I had to cut it a bit to get the size loadable to the blog.
As I mentioned the office and 6th grade will be complete in a week, prayerfully.
6th grade
Front gate and office.
New stage and open area where the students meet for church, though it’s a bit dirty.Roof on the new bathrooms should be finished this week as well.
Other cool news. The education department said they had no funds to make soccer tournament happen this year. They did how ever call this week and let us know that they would put a small event on and bring 1 school from each district. Only two schools in our district could afford to go us and a nearby school. They told us the other school is cheating. “Normal here.” They have college kids come and play on their team. So the district said if we didn’t have 20 year old students we would be chosen to play. So that’s that because we aren’t planning to cheat we’ve been moved from a district competition to State finals, if (a big IF) we would win the next game would be country finals. Game is on the 14 of this month
We had the field behind us plowed so they could practice better and not kill our lawn any longer.
Had to move the animals away from the school as we’re clearing the area. So this is the new barn.
Yong has been a massive blessing helping us around the house and getting the gardens back in shape.
A new work shop as well
The reason why we had to build the new barn and work shop. Basketball court is coming hopefully by May.
Here is something we could use help with if you wished to participate.
Here’s an idea of what we’re looking at though our fence will be smaller and far less costly.
We will have walls at the ends of the court for wall ball games as well. We’ve estimated less than $9,000 to complete it.
Not in the picture would be light posts and a green shade screen that will cover the entire court. If we come up with enough funds we’ll roof it instead, but it’s not our main goal at the moment.
A List of other things taking place
Mengly one of our girls at the house also attending our school has made it to State finals on her Khmer test (like an English test) she was fisrt place. SengHi also on of our boys is also going to state finals on physics.
We got to have lunch with the governor of our province/state, though we didn’t get the chance speak. The meeting was about growing our provinces Christian population, unity in the church and doing outreaches.
We are working on today to produce an Easter Play. I’ve been pushing for one for years, but this year it’s been received and we’ll see what we can do. It’s not something they celibate here and I’m we’re trying to change that.
We’ve changed the kids rooms around a little and gave them a living area with couches and a table. They have enjoyed that a lot.
