26 of our children and 3 of our staff were baptized August 18 2010.
The children were already taking a class to be baptized, with the team arriving we naturally decided to ask pastor Pat to help.

I was really honored to baptize some of our staff this day.
They’ll have more to deal with than our kids will and so I found the expression of their commitment much more special.  It’s not easy for them being Christians having an entire Buddhist family.
They may even have a hard time getting married and risk be excommunicated by their family.

B at the last minute jumped in the water and made a profession for Christ.
We didn’t really expect it.  He has been working with us for 2 months.  He sits in the bible studies, goes to church with us and went through the baptism class with the kids but the entire time we thought he was just spending time with us, but I guess in the last month or so he has given his life to Christ and wanted to be baptized and jumped in with boldness.
It was a wonderful surprised that choked us up a little bit as we began to pray.
The awesome part about a sponsor being on a team is the special bond that can be formed or a special event can happen.
Nathan Sneller and his family support Melor so we asked if Nathan would help with the his baptism.  Nathan was more than happy to do.

Pastor got to Baptize Tong his sponsored child.
It was a really cool day for the kids and I and I hope for the team as well.
After that is was play time.
I think I drank enough dirty water to officially become part of Cambodia.
Happy to say I didn’t get sick.
The next day the team headed back to town and prepared to end their two week mission trip.
The kids are back to studying, watching movies and playing games waiting for summer to end.
Not every trip is the same for every team but we invite you out to enjoy your own adventure.
