Ream and I servants of our King, our Lord Jesus the Christ.
Tuesday the 13th we were made aware that someone “had shaved off our beards and our gowns had been cut at the waist” (metaphorically speaking). Shocked, dazed and a whole lot of confusion, I reached out to a couple trusted brothers here for advice. I wanted to get proactive and defend myself, both brothers advised us not too, but to sit and wait, let God defend you.
Wednesday the 14th we had our kids graduation to attend, after and in the evening laying in bed exhausted Ream felt called to listen to a message. 2 Samuel 10 is where we are at with the teacher bible study. John Courson shared the most precise message we’ve heard in some time. So timely with such clarity definitely God speaking. Saying when accusations are made and problems come your way, let God defend you.
So thankful to those two brothers speaking truth. So thankful for Ream’s obedience, her steadfastness so thankful for Pastor John. I know it was a message probably taught maybe 4 years ago but like God’s Word it is so timely, so truthful, so current, comforting and helpful.
If you’d like to listen a couple minutes you can start the message at 33:40.

So thankful to our pastor who rescued us again and defended our honor.
This post isn’t to focus on the lowness of our silly attackers or seek your sympathy. It’s to focus on God being active even in a time where I or you might feel dry. HE is still working, He is there and He loves us and HE protects you and the work HE has his name on.
When you feel the title waves of life hitting you trying to knock you over, let that short message of truth ring in your mind that God is our defender. I hope now or later this is a fruitful word for you as it was for us.
